Can Methotrexate Delay The Recovery From Bronchitis?
I get bronchitis at least two times a year and it takes two to three months to go away even with three courses of steroids and azithromycin. I am on methotrexate for my RA, I also have old healed granulomatous disease from TB when I was younger I was than put on INH for a year. ( I m 68 yrs. old now). Could the methotrexate or the granulomatous disease be the course of my bronchitis lasting so long.

I understand your concern.
Methotrexate is an immunosuppressant. So it decreases your body's immune responses which are very important in the clearing of infections.
Steroids are immunosuppressants too. Unless you have asthma, you should not be taking taking steroids for bronchitis.
Active TB can decrease immune reactions, but not after it is cured.
