Can MGPT 124 And SGOT 44 Cause Health Risk When Suffering From Behcet Disease?

hi. hope u r fine. i have behcet for about 5 years now. recently my mgpt is 124 and my sgot 44. I am on Methoterexate, Naproxin, prodenizoline and solphasalizine. i am unfortunately not very physically active. is it dangerous? thnks one point, i live in Iran and due to sanctions i can t transfer money unfortunately

Your SGPT and SGOT gives information about your liver health. Since you are on methotrexate, it is important to monitor your liver status. You have not mentioned your previous values and your laboratory reference values. If your SGOT and SGPT rises to 3 times your baseline value, it could indicate liver damage which will warrant stopping methotrexate. Some doctors also do a liver biopsy if your total dosage of methotrexate over years exceeds 2.5 grams.
