Can Levothyroxine Cause Headaches?

I want to know why i have been having headaches and a minor pain on my eyes for 3 days. I had a thyroidectomy surgery about 5 months ago and have been taking levothyroxine 88mcg and recently changed to 100mcg. I was wondering if that is what is causing my headaches. I did take Tylenol for the pain and nothing changed. I think it could be the weather change I am not sure

Hello,

this is a normal hormone which is produced by the thyroid. When the thyroid is incapable of producing it, the patient has to take a pill. This is not supposed to cause headaches, so another cause has to be sought. What was the reason for the thyroidectomy? It may have to do with the headaches. Any other medical history? Drugs?

I'll be glad to comment on your case, if you'd like to provide more information.

Kind Regards!
