Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband had a reaction to some medication on Thursday and went to the urgent care doctor because he had nausea, the dry heaves and diarrhea. They gave him something for the nausea, took blood, and a sample for testing. We don t have results yet. He still has watery diarrhea today. He is drinking liquids and gatorade. Should he take Imodium? What foods should he eat to counteract the diarrhea?
He can take imodium 2 mg upto 4 times for chronic diarrhea. I would advise to do a full work up to find whats causing the diarrhea. If its an reaction to medication then please wait for it. Hopefully it will resolve with time
Wishing you a good health.
Hope it helps,
Regards.
