Can Ibuprofen Be Taken Along With Acyclovir And Tylenol?

I have shingles. My doctor prescribed acyclovir one every eight hours and two Tylenol extra strength every six hours. Before the shingles broke up, the doctor thought it was sciatica since the pain ran up and down my left leg and prescribed ibuprofen for the pain. Can I still take the ibuprofen with the current drugs, since the pain from the shingles is getting much worse.

Hello

Tylenol and ibuprofen are same class of drugs. You can take tylenol and ibuprofen together.
But i would suggest you to visit your doctor and for prescription of stronger pain-killers like tramadol. If the pain is not being controlled by tylenol, i dont think adding ibuprofen will help.

Thanks
