Can I Use The Silvadine Cream Or Calendula For Open Sores?

I m having radiation boost to my breast. After a serious skin reaction to the first 26 + 1 boost. The open sores have cleared up with the silvadine cream and I started up again with the rest of the. Posts. Can I continue using the silvadine cream to go to bed with or should I use the calendula cream? I m so not sure what to do .

It is used for treating and preventing bacterial infection in second- and third-degree burns. Wash your hands well before and after you apply Silvadene. Use a sterile-gloved hand to apply Silvadene to a thickness of approximately 1/16 inch on all affected areas. Whenever necessary, reapply the cream to keep the affected areas covered at all times. To prevent or to clear up your infection completely, continue using Silvadene for the full course of treatment even if your condition improves in a few days. Hope this answers your question.
