Can I use otc drops for excessive tears and itchy lids ?

I am 70 yr female, no disorders except high cholesterol -- taking statin . Have been diagnosed with excessive tearing, tear ducts not blocked. Have tearing again and itchy lids. Was prescribed otc drops which cost about 75.00 5 years ago. What is the otc(s) for this condition? No longer live near the eye, ear, nose dr who prescribed OTC

OTC means over the counter, which means to say that, that particular drug does not require a prescription and can be bought by lay men. See the label as to what it might contain. May be it's chloramphenicol
