Can I Travel When Having High BP Like 150/120?

my father has just had a friend check his blood pressure (nurse) as he is due to travel to england tomorrow by boat. he has been attending the doctor and has had his medication changed recently earlier this evening his blood pressure was 150 over 120 should he travel or stay at home and consult his gp tomorrow

Hello,
welcome to Healthcare Magic,

If he is a newly diagnosed Hypertensive then i suggest you to take minimum of 3 readings with atleast 15 mins apart.

If he is already hypertensive patient then he can travel after adjusting his present dose .
