Can I Travel By Train At Around 31 Weeks Of Pregnancy ?
Hello dr. i m 27weeks pregnant . we lives in D&NH. My elders wants me to go @ my native place for delivery. so they have planned - I will go to punjab (native place) on 13th august. so, tell me is it ok to travel for so long (via train) from gujarat to punjab? At that time i will be around 31weeks. please help. I am tensed. I cant ay no to then, nor so i want to go so far...

you can travel by train if you have no other pregnancy related problem like high blood pressure ,swelling ,anemia ,pain etc
but you must take advise from your gynecologist
personally i advise not to go and stay here as change in environment might affect you
and you have to change the doctor there .
better to explain your elders.

Read your prob, ideally during first n last trimester of pregnancy travelling should be avoided as there is high chance of mishappening, mid trimester is best for travelling. if you do not hany pregnncy related complication then you should travell via train or plain but dont use by road. now you have 27wk of pregnancy so you should go now not wait for 31st wk of pregnancy.
