Can I Take Tranostat To Control Bleeding From Bronchitis?

Hi doctors Good morning !!

My mother is suffering from bronchitis disease from last 15 years. Now she has got bleeding from bronchitis. We have given Clavam-625 X3 in a day from 3 days but bleeding is not control yet. We have been giving oxygen, nebulizer continually. She is in home right now, can I start tranostat 500mg for 2 days?

Hi,

I have gone through your query.
You haven't cleared that if the blood is with sputum or vomitus. Since she is suffering from bronchitis, i assume that there is hemoptysis.
Yes she can be given tranostat for stopping bleed. But if the bleeding is more, you should see her a local pulmonologist and she may require hospitalization to prevent the aspiration.
