Can I Take Susten 300 For Irregular Periods?

i am 27 years old and for the past few months, we were tryin to have a baby.. I consulted a doctor since i have irregular periods. The doctor prescribed susten 300. I want to know the details of the medicine since my friends tols me tht susten is usually prescribed for women who have history of miscarriage or abortion

Hi,

Susten 300 is high dose progesterone and is mostly prescribed as a hormonal supplement to avoid miscarriage. I don't think it's right to take it for irregular periods. The cause of such irregularity needs to be investigated for to be followed by cause specific treatment. Please consult a gynecologist.
