Can I Take Eltroxin Before Thyroid Profile Test?
As i know that to conduct thyroid profile test, a person should be having fasting more than 12 hours. Should i take eltroxin which i am taking daily in the morning before test? Should i take tablet after collection of blood sample. Please guide me. Regards Hitesh

Eltroxin on the day on blood check up won't alter the TSH values.But it can affect the free T4 values.Hence it is advisable to take the tablet after blood collecting the blood ,if you are giving the blood in the morning.The minimum time interval between the tablet consumption and blood check should be 4 hours.hence you can adjust accordingly..thank you...
