Can I Take Electral Powder Daily?

Hello I am 31 years old. If i take electral powder i feel very energetic or enthusiastic. and there is no any other drink for me like electral powder ie.tea, coffee or any fruit juice which can gives me normal energetic feel. I am male. So can i take electral powder daily. Or is there any loading dose. if yes, then what should be the quantity or dose.

Welcome to HCM.

As such there is no harm or side effect of Electral powder if taken with proper dilution as written on the packet.

If you feel energetic and good, you can take it but there should be some limit. You haven't specified how much you are going to take every day.

It basically contains electrolytes like sodium and potassium with glucose or dextrose. One sachet of 21 gm Electral contains 2.6 gm of sodium chloride and 2.9 gm of sodium citrate. So, 1 litre(5 glasses) of ORS will contain good amount of Sodium. If you are not perspiring or having any kind of fluid loss (like diarrhea) than it is not wise to take sodium more than this.
So, I would advise you not to take more than 5 glasses (1 sachet in 1 litre of water) of ORS in a day.
