Can I Take Proluton Depot For Pain Caused By Urinary Stone?
I am a male aged 53 years. Two years ago I was administered injection of Pruloton Depot by my physician for pain due to urinary stone. Thereafter I am feeling lower virility. Was the injection correctly given as I have studied from internet that it is meant for pregnant females.
Hi. U r correct. It is used to reduce the risk of preterm birth. Proluton depot causes muscle relaxation, hence it may lessen pain for stone disease. But then it has side effects, and hence should not be given for the same. U require drotaverine or hyoscine to reduce pain. If not controlled, u may take injection voveran. Also if stone is inureter, u should take Tamsulosin to relax ur ureter. Take sufficient water. It helps in expulsion of stone. Depending on the size of stone, u may require surgery or the stone may pass off by itself in due course of time.
