Fish oil cholesterol is just cholesterol, so it is bad if you eat too much of it. There probably isn't much cholesterol in fish oil anyway, it's about 1%.
But the other stuff in fish oil is what might be good for you: Plenty of unsaturated fat. It breaks down much easier than saturated fat and decreases inflammation in your fat tissues.
The problem with fish oil (besides the taste and smell) is that it often contains many pollutants, such as mercury.
So go ahead, and eat your fish-oil, but I would use it INSTEAD of other oils, not IN ADDITION TO your other oils.

Yes, thank you. I have divertilosis and lately have a lot of gas, it seems regardless of what I eat. I eat no lettuce, no seeds, no nuts . One question I have is I have added flax seed oil to my diet , could that be causing this? I am willing to give up caffeine as I understand it could cause the smelly fatulence. I am 85years old and in good health; this is my major problem. I have had some success with tums, tho I take medicine for GERD , HBP and thyroid . I do not have constant constipation , only caused by the gas.
I am having itchy elbow and ankle. The skin is kind of dry. I do apply moisturiser but no help. Tried even coconut oil/ mustard oil but the itching persists. I can see some red sores (pimple like) not big though concentrated in the small area...
