My GP diagnosed me with mycoplasma, after another doctor may have diagnosed me improperly of a common ear infection treating me with Cifdinir (Omniflex?) 300 mg. My own Dr after texting with me and thinking about my symptoms of ear congestion, followed by Tinnitus setting in, first my right ear, then my left, said he knew of an entity in our community of mycoplasma. I believe he is correct but may not realize how severe my infection may be. I had symptoms for at least 2 weeks prior to 8-25-14. That is the day, a Monday, I got up, experienced dizziness, then the ringing started. The left ear began ringing a couple of weeks ago. My Dr put me on Clarithromycin on Sunday night 9-21-14 at 7 pm I began the dosage of 500mg tablets twice a day. I had a difficult work assignment for Monday morning beginning at 3am and didn t get off work until 2pm. It completely set me back, and now I ve missed work for 2 days. I believe the Mycoplasma may have infected my white blood cells. Is this easy to test for in a blood test?
