Can I Switch Glasses With Slight Difference In Power?

Hi Dr.
i have one query regarding the lenses which i am using...i had advised by the doctor to use a cylindrical glass(since my eye power initially was L=0 & R=-1.5) about 6 months back..i recently had been to eye care center to change my spectacles and did eye testing again and found my eye power has increased to L=-0.5 & R=-1.75, and i have done with the new power...
Now my confusion is, wheather to wear a new one or old one? since both has the difference of 0.25.. and what if i use both? i dont feel much difference if i use both..but will it going to effect anything in future or do i have to stick to only a single power?? kindly help me.

Hello,
As given in the history you are having myopia. The refractive error is known to increase or vary depending on the growth of the eye ball which again depends on your age, so you can expect the change which you have mentioned in the history.
Coming to which power glasses to wear, the basic principle followed in correction of myopia is always under correction is preferred.
Before changing the glasses be sure whether the power has increased or it is over corrected. This can be done by simple observation that, note whether the objects are seen clearly, indicating correct correction or undercorrection or they are appearing very bright and minified, inidicating over correction.
Thank you
