Can I Reduce The Dose Of Pexep Having For Depression As I Want To Gradually Stop This Medicine ?

Hello Doctor, am 48 years old, and I ve been taking pexep for the last 13 years. I am now taking 12.5 for over six months. Is there any way I can reduce the dose to half? How can I gradually stop this medicine? I am not suffering from any kind of depression now, except that I am addicted to this medicine. Please help me what I should do. Thank you.

Dear Sir/ Madam

If it is prescribed for depression and want to discontinue then you have to keep certain things in mind. Single episode, mild to moderate severity, no family history of depression or mood disorder, no substance use, good social support, immediate availability of mental health care professional on needs are favorable factors for gradually tapering of the medication.
