Can I miss a period when I am on birth control pills ?

Is not seeing your period when on birth control pills normal I started using birth control pills a month and 5 days ago and i have been using them correctly but i was told that when i got down to the last few pills in the pack that my period would come but it did not at the end of the pack when i did not see my period i did a blood pregnancy test and results came back negative. I still continue to use the pills as normal. Should i stop the pills? Could I still be pregnant? Should i wait a few more weeks And do another pregnancy test?

Hi,thanks for query.Normally the pack contains 21 tablets,7 tablets are fillers. You get period within 7 days of completion of 21 tablets. Then you need to start the new pack again. At times it happens due to some irregularity you may not get your periods. Please talk to your doctor about this.buy.

Hi,
After completion of one packet after 3-4 days period starts but in your case as you told that you are still continue taking oral pills e respective of you had period, or not.
In this condition you are not having period as pills are continued.
So best thing is that you stop taking pills and after stopping pills you will get period, this will give new date of your period and then on the fifth day you start new packet.
In this condition if you have any confusion pl take gynac opinion.

It s my first time using birth control pills and I got the set of pills (Lutera 28 day pill) about two months ago. The nurse told me to start the Sunday (which my period was supposed to come that Sunday or Monday). But for some reason my period hasn t come and it s been 9 weeks! (I m a virgin so I can t be pregnant). I finally got it today and I m not sure when to start it. Today is a tuesday, and I have finals this week I don t want to take the pill today because I don t know how my body will react. 1. So should I start this coming Sunday, or can i take it any time between today and and the day my period ends? 2. When I start my first pill, should I start with the hormone pill (white) or inactive (pink) pill? 3. I will be going on a week long family trip in the summer (July) so when should I take my pills to plan a missed period during that time according to the trip? 4. I would prefer my periods to come during the week like mon-friday. how should I know what day to take it? Please help. Thanks!

I am in my second pill pack and missed 2 pills in the whole pack. When I missed a pill, I took 2 the next day. I just took my 3rd placebo pill and still did not get my period. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. Is there a possibility that I could be pregnant?

I have been on birth control since July. I take it on time and have never missed a pill but I have 2 periods a month. I believe I started taking it the wrong time. When I first started it, I took my first pill right after I had finished my period instead of taking it the Sunday after I started my period. Ever since I began taking birth control, I have had two periods a month. Will stopping my pills and starting again correctly on a Sunday after a started period fix this problem?

I'm definitely not sexually active, but yesterday I found this purplish brownish discharge in my underwear. I'm supposed to start my period in about a week and am on birth control for my migraines. I put a tampon in and took it out later to see if I could figure out if it was blood or whatever it was. But it didn't smell right or look right. When I put it in the toilet it filled up with water and definitely showed that it was, in fact, a purple. Could you tell me what it possibly is? Maybe a side effect of the sronyx(the birth control I'm using)? I'm going off of that soon because of other side effects, so is that a possibility?

I've been having dark brown discharge about a week before my period. I am on birth control, I take the pills. Sometimes I take it a couple hours later than I should and I sex with my boyfriend. I had sex with my boyfriend when I was supposed to start my period in May but it never came because I spotted in the middle and had switched birth controls. I then had sex with him again but when I was on the pill on the 15th and he did NOT cum inside of me. Could I be pregnant?
