Can I Increase The Dosage Of Lactare Tablets As I Am Not Getting Enough Milk To Feed The Baby?

Hi I am 25 years old and gave birth to a baby girl recently (1.5 month old). I am not getting enough milk to feed. doctor suggested me to use Lactare tablets (02 per day) for that. Eventhough I am not getting enough milk. Can I increase the dosage. are the tablets are safe? eventhough I am not getting enough milk. C

Yes, you can increase the dose, provided the local causes for reduced milk output are ruled out.

Rule out cracked nipple, nipple retraction, painful lesion of the nipple to know whether it is the cause.

Drink plenty of oral fluids, 2 glasses of cow milk a day and high fiber diet.
