Can I Get Pregnant After Taking Emergency Contraceptive Pill?
i am wondering about the likelihood of pregnancy. we had sex using condoms, but i was still a little worried so i took plan b within the 72 hour time period. however, i wouldn't know if i missed a period because i haven't had one for almost a year because i quit taking the birth control that regulated them, so my hormones were a little out of whack. i did have a period though one week after the sex. im am 19, weight 110 and 5'2. besides recent stomach problems i am otherwise healthy. thank you.

If you have used a condom and used emergency contraception and also had no preiods before this then there is no chance of pregnancy. Also you did have bleeding after using the pill. So there are no chances of pregnancy.
However as you did not have a normal period for a year, please see a gynecologist and get evaluated and treated for it as soon as possible. Most common cause for this is hormonal imbalance and if treated early it does not cause any problems later.

I understand your concern.. Since you have used condom and morning after pill within 72 hrs, the chances of pregnancy have reduced to 1%. Moreover you had periods one week after sex, so it shows you are not pregnant.. Since you have irregular periods consult your gynae for some blood tests like thyroid, prolactin, FSH and LH to rule out thyroid disorders, hyperprolactenemia and PCOS. Also get a pelvic scan to see the status of your uterus and ovaries.. It would be better to get periods atleast once in 2 months to prevent endometrial hyperplasia..
