Pediatrician, Critical Care Dr. Tejas Shah's  Response
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.

HIV is a virus infection, which spreads either by: Sex/Using contaminated syringes/getting infected blood transfusion or from mother-to-child through womb (placenta).

By having face-to-face contact or having hand shakes does not result in spread of virus from an infected person to a healthy person.

Please be reassured about getting HIV infection just by face-to-face conversation.
