General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, there are several skin changes with the Hashimoto thyroid condition of Hypothyroidism. It is the auto-immune response mediated effects over epidermis cells, dry skin and secondary sequences leading to severe itching. Following measures will help you:
- Control of thyroid function test with thyroid hormone replacement via Levothyroxine tablet
- Antihistamine as Cetirizine or Diphenhydramine
- Balanced nutritious diet
- Supportive multi-vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
