Can HIV Be Transmitted After Touching An Open Blister Of An HIV Positive Person?

Hi, a few days ago my three year old touched the open blister of a colleague with hiv. She has no open wounds on her hands but a couple of old scratches but now I am so worried about the possibility of her being at risk. If she had touched her eyes or lips would there be even the slightest chance?

Hello,
Thanks for the consult...

Brief answer,
Yes there may be a chabce for hiv status

Explanation,
1. You mentioned that when a child touches the open blister of a positive status hiv then through skin the hiv will not tranfer
2. The possible ways that child can be effected through mouth and high chances by eyes becausethe chance of hiv transmission via the mucous membranes are high
3. Before worrying what happened exactly take the child to the dermatologist and treat prophylactically with ART- anti retroviral therapy for 15-20 days based on the mode of exposure to the risk.

Hope this information will helps
