Can HIV Be Contracted Through Unprotected Intercourse?

Hi, I just recently had sex with a HIV positive person. They were on their medication at the time. I DID use a condom, but it break. When I realize it pop we stopped immediately . I didn t ejaculate or nothing. After we stop I went to the bathroom & wash my penis off with soap & water. I m still little nervous because the condom break & I was still inside of them. Am I at risk?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have history of sex with HIV positive person. You used condom but it was broken so there can be chance of HIV. No need to worry much about that. You should go for HIV testing. Antibodies development takes time so you should go for P24 antigen testing or PCR test. Chances are low but still you should go for HIV testing once to confirm
Hope I have answered your question, if you have any doubts then contact me at bit.ly/Drsanghvihardik, I will be happy to answer you.
