General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
Yes, the prescribed medications may be taken for the antibiotic allergy.
First of all you must stop using the 'offending' antibiotic causing allergic reactions involving your lips. For any allergic reaction, immediate medical attention has to be taken.
1. Gupisone is a steroid which acts as an anti-allergic and anti inflammatory & hence it can be used for severe allergic reactions that do not respond to oral anti histamines.
1. Telfast (Fexofenadine) is a non-sedating antihistamine which is used to relieve the symptoms of allergic reaction like urticaria or red & itchy swellings on the skin or on the lips or around the eye lids.
I would recommend you to use Telfast first, if there's no response to it then Gupisone should be taken along with it after consulting your GP or physician.
Hope this will help you.
