Can Godex DS Cause Hair Loss?

Hi. My daughter s SGPT is high. An ultrasound of her liver showed markings. I took her to see an internist and he prescribed Godex DS, two capsules daily. She is experiencing a lot of hair fall recently. It started this summer, about the same time she started taking Godex. Does Godex DS cause hair loss? Thank you.

I understand your concern.
Godex DS contains Vitamin B complex, carnitine orotate, amino acids and adenine hydrochloride. It is indicated to be used in the treatment of mitochondrial dysfunctions, acute and chronic viral hepatitis, fatty liver, drug-induced liver injury, cirrhosis, alcoholic and general intoxication.
Gastrointestinal disturbances like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, body odour and abdominal cramps have been reported after the daily use of this medication.
Hair fall is not an associated side effect known to be caused due to use of this medication.
Kindly get it evaluated by consulting Dermatologist if the hair loss problem becomes bothersome.
