General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking. I understand your concern.
Duphaston is a hormone progesterone .. taking important part in menstruation &fertility. This time it was given for inducing periods
Glyciphage is a medicine toincrease use of glucose in blood... reduce fat &weight.(one of the cause of irregular periods)
Both the drugs do not interfere with each other's action... can be taken together.
Following the withdrawal bleeding.. you would be subjected to ovulation study, thyroid &ovarian study... to find cause of the delay in period &then specific treatment would be possible..
Ifcurrent doctor is a gynecologist.. you can continue the treatment... if not consult a gynecologist
Thanks.
