Can Glucoformin Dosage Be Reduced While Suffering From Diabetes?
I m 57 yrs old and my weight is 62 kg.My sugar level is 137 fasting and 157 pp.I was advised to take Glucoformin xl 500 .I have controlled my diet as due to knee problem I m unable to go for a walk.After having this sugar medicine I started losssing weight. Can I reduce the dose gluformin xl 500 full tablet to half?

welcome to hcm ...please see that merformin causes weight loss as a standard side effect
but the reduction of sugar medicine is to ne decided by the sugar level
please go for FBS ..fasting blood sugar ..minimum of 6 hours overnight fasting
RBS or PP sugar level as sugar level 2 hours after food
i suggest to cjeck these levels for 3 days and if the levels of these are near lower normal limits then i advise reducing dose
