Can Flotral Taken After Undergoing Circumcision Be Discontinued In A Diabetic Patient For A While?

Dear Dr. Shankdhar. My father has been taking Flotral for couple of years. He had undergone a minor surgery (circumcision) 1.5 years back and had been visitng doctor at Silver Oak (Mohali, chandigarh) every 6 mnths. Now the doctor has shifted from that hospital to another town. My father has not been able to visit him for last 7 months. His dose of Flotral is also over (6 months). He is having some knee problem and cannot travel to the hospital comfortably. Can he stop the medicine for few days till he is able to visit a doctor? He is also diabetic and taking medicine Riomet 1000 and Glyzid 90. Can you pl advise! Thanks

Hello
Thanks for query.

Flotral that your father is taking is generally prescribed for urinary symptoms due to enlarged prostate to help him to improve urine flow.

It has to be continued till he is advised or subjected to surgery for resection of prostate gland .
