I have some toothache for 2 days. I couldnot see any inflamation in jaw but is giving pain. I am currently in sydney and moving outside for almost 10 days. I used one Flexon tablet and feeling relief. I have currently no access to meet dentist here. Can I use flexon for couple of days to relieve pain if persists in coming days.

Hi.

Thanks for the query.
If you have pain in your tooth then it can be due to causes like deep decay in tooth causing nerve exposure causing nerve irritation and pain.

Other causes can be Cracked tooth syndrome.

So taking painkiller can help in providing temporary relief and although pain can subside for few days but can relapse after sometime.

So for temporary relief you can take painkiller like Ibuprofen, Naproxen etc. But for permanent resolution you should consult a Dentist and get evaluated and an x ray should be done. In case if there is deep infection then root canal treatment can be done followed by antibiotics and painkillers. In there is crack or fracture in tooth then either root canal treatment or extraction can be done depending on the nature of cracks..

Hope this helps.

Regards.
