Can Estrace And Progesterone Be Taken Safely For A Long Duration?
Hello, I was just diagnosed with premature menopause at 31. I started taking Angeliq and after 3 weeks J gained almost 10 pounds, I have extreme mood swings and vaginal discharge. A new doctor has recommended Estrace 1mg + Teva progesterone for the last 2 weeks. How safe are those for a woman my age and will have to take them my whole life? I want to be able to conceive, even if it s not 100% natural, can these pills have a counter effect? Thank you for your time!

They can be taken and will not have any immediate counter effect, but if taken for long periods of time (e.g. 10 years or so), they can have an impact. In conclusion, anything done in moderation is okay. Speak to your doctor about conception and go about it right now, not later, now.
