Can Diflucan Be Taken For Yeast Infection?

My doctor prescribed me diflucan over the phone, but I m afraid to take it because I m not certain I have a yeast infection....I am at a children,s hospital with my daughter hours away from home for many weeks now and am not able to get to my doctors for an exam....is it harmful to take this med if I don t actually have a yeast infection....it s just much more mild than my previous yeast infections....I am 36, 5 2 , and 108 lbs
