Can Diclofenac Tablet Cause Elevated Blood Pressure?

Hi, Three days ego I have got from my doctor Diclofenac 2 x 50mg. Today my blood pressure jump to 155/120 and heard rate to 100. Usually my blood pressure is 120/75 – 130/80 and pulse around 60–70. Is possible that this is a side effect of Diclofenac? Thanks, Stefan

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Thanks for using HCM, I understand your concern and will try to give you my medical advice, the high blood pressure is not a common side effect of diclofenac although can produce slow or fast heart beat, just remember not all side effects for diclofenac may be reported if you continue with a high blood pressure check with your doctor for alternative drugs. I hope that my advice has been helpful, take care
