Can Diclofenac And Advil Be Taken For Pain And Swelling In The Leg?

I have pain and swelling in the upper left buttock and lesser pain on the lateral side of my leg going to the knee and have taken 1 100mg Diclofenac pill and have put an ice pack on the affected area. The pain is still there and I cannot sleep. Can I take another 100mg of Diclofenac or something like Advil?

Hi,

Advil will help in decreasing the pain in the leg but may not help in the swelling. You can have another dosage to help with this pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Praveen Tayal,
