Can Deviry Be Taken To Terminate Pregnancy?

Hi doctor ..am married and 23yrs old.i missed my period on may and the lst period was april21.i have gone through upt and its conformed that am pregnant..bt am stil studying and not planned for a baby.so if i take deviry tablt is there any chance od abortion plz suggest me

I understand your concern.
Deviry tablet contains Medroxy Progesterone Acetate as an active ingredient. It is used for Irregular menstrual periods, Abnormal uterine bleeding and other such conditions. It is not the pill used for inducing abortion.
Abortion pills would be effective to terminate pregnancy of less than 10 weeks. Abortion pills contains mifepristone and misoprostol.
You need to consult Gynaecologist for proper dosage and mode of use of abortion pills as termination of pregnancy needs to be done under strict medical guidelines and supervision.
Following the abortion process, it needs to be confirmed that all the products of conception has been completely expelled by means of ultrasound scan.
