Can Corticosteroids Puff And Pleuticasone Inhalation Steroids (flomist) For Nasal Congestion Cause Cough, Cold And Wheezing?

Sir i already have allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma . I have been taking corticosteroids puff and pleuticasone inhalation steroids (flomist) i had nasal obstruction for past 4 days before sleeping and i started to take flomist then i got nasal discharge and i took flomist for next day also then i got cold, cough with exportation , fever and wheezing . I want know weather this is due to usage of flomist during cold?

Hi,

I have gone through your query.
Due to continuous use of corticosteroids for allergic rhinitis and Bronchial Asthma, you become prone to infections. In you case you are suffering from Respiratory tract infection resulting in cough with expectoration, fever and wheezing.
I advise to go for a antibiotic course of amoxicillin and anti histaminic like Levocetrizine. And paracetamol for fever.
