Can Clindamycin HCL Be Taken For Sinus Infection?

I have a bad sinus infection/cold. Went to an urgent care center this morning and just picked up my prescription which I now found was for levofloxacain. I ve taken anabiotic s from the flouoroquinolone family before for my diverticulitis and feel they have caused tendon popping pfoplems in my neck. I have a prescription from dental procedure I didn t end up having done for 300 mg of clindamycin HCl. I am thinking of starting those instead. Your opinion? I am miserable and want to start on something and the clinic I got the Levofloxacin script from is now closed.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
If levofloxacin has caused tendon popping then avoid it. There are other better antibiotics are available. You can use.
Advice
1.     Do not use levofloxacin and clindamycin
2.     Levocetirizine 5 mg daily per oral for 7 days
3.     Azithromycin 500 mg daily per oral for 5 days
4.     Do gargle with slight warm salt water four times daily
5.     Do not eat heavily at a time. Eat smaller meals
6.     Do not lie down immediately after meal
7.     Avoid dust, smoking, alcohol, dry environment, cold and spicy food
I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question
Thanks
