Can Ciprofloxacin Be Taken With Ibuprofen?

Hi, I am currently treating a UTI with the antibiotic ciprofloxacin 500mg. Im suffering from a virus on top of that now. I was told by my family doctor to take Ibuprofen 600mg and tylenol 500mg switching back and forth every three hours. My question is, is it okay to take ciprofloxacin with ibuprofen?

Hello
You are having UTI ( urinary tract infection ) for which advised Ciprofloxacin 500 mg .
Also advised ibuprofen 600 mg and tylenol 500 mg ( paracetamol ).
Now read this carefully:
CNS excitation may occur with concurrent administration of ciprofloxacin and iburpofen , so if possible avoid .
In my opinion take cipro just after morning breakfast and 2nd dose in the evening after meal .
While ibuprofen you can take after lunch and 4-5 hours after this with some meal or snacks .
Hope this will help you.
