Can Ciprofloxacin Be Taken For Bladder Infection?

My husband is 85 and has been prescribed cipro for a possible bladder or prostate infection He is afraid to take it after reading all the very bad side effects. He is also on Eliquis to prevent clots after an episode of heart flutter His doc is also evaluating a urine test today thank you Nelle

As you stated, side effects can occur, they do not occur in everyone, there are some persons who do not experience any side effects at all and they are others who may have problems.

It is possible that he may be fine but if he is not comfortable and since the infection absolutely needs to be treated, he should speak to his doctor about another option
