Can Cipro Be Taken For The Treatment Of UTI?

Hello sir, I have chronic UTI from last 1-2 years. My doctor prescribed Cirpo a couple of times and right now I am using Cipro and Doxycycline, 2 times a day. I don t think it is helping too much and I keep reading very bad side effects of Cipro. Is it safe to continue using this drug ?

Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern

If ciprofloxacin is not helping with your symptoms, then urine culture and sensitivity needs to.be done to select appropriate antibiotics. Until then please be advised to continue ciprofloxacin and doxycycline.
