Can Cerelac Be Given To A 6 Month Old Baby?

My baby boy's age is just 6 months and I'm feeding him with cerelac since he was 5 months old, but my friends told me that its not correct to feed him at that stage coz his digestive system would affected in future, but I noted no side effects or constipation related problems and he is enjoying all the flavors of Cerelac one-by-one twice a day. Please advise me if I'm doing anything wrong with my baby.....ALI, India.

Hi..its recommended that complementary food should be started after 6 months of age..as gastrointestinal system is fully prepared to digest the semisolids by that time and there are chances of increase food allergies afterwards if we start early..but as you have already started without complications so its ok now..everyone will not have problems and as baby is already six so continue the same..relax..thanks
