Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was prescribed benzonatate 200mg twice a day for nasophyri/probably misspelled that and bronchitis. Took a few day, but better now. Here ? My 27 year old grandson now has it and I was wondering if I could give him some of these. I know not to share meds, but this doesn t seem to dangerous.
You can give Benzonatate, if your son has a cough.
Benzonatate is used to relieve coughing.
I also suggest you to give anti-inflammatory medication such as I Ibuprofen three times a day.
If the symptoms continue antibiotics may be needed.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
