Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been diagnosed with Atrial fibrillation and I am on Eloquis. My ankles swell up every day and night and I cannot find out why. One doctor says it is from the pump in my heart not doing it work properly and the other says it is from blood, I have heavy blood vessels in my legs. Do I have to live with this every day and spend my afternoons and nights on my back with feet high up in the air?
Hello dear Greetings Regarding your experience with swelling at your ankle following a diagnosis of Atrial fibrillation I am suggesting you have developed a congestive heart failure
In view of this please stick to lifting your legs up and take the following Tablet lasixaldactone
I hope this helps Regards
