Can Atenoiol And Ramipril Cause Low BP Below Normal?

For my High Blood pressure since 1985, I ve been taking Atenoiol @ 100mg, Plus one 5mg Ramipril daily, However, Whilst at my doctors, by change, he undertook a blood Pressure check, the results 118/61 Knowing I m going on Holiday within two days, he suggested on my return to visit the Surgery for another blood pressure check. with a view reducing the above tablets, in Medical terms how Low is 118/61. My Age 66 Male.

Hello and thank you for your question.
In most patients blood pressure below 140/90 is normal. However, if you have certain conditions like diabetes or kidney disease your doctor may want it to be below 120/80. If you do not have those conditions your doctor may be able to lower your medication dose slightly.
