Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i started to take trintelix 2 days ago. To start 5mg for 2 weeks and 10 mg for a week to see how it will work for me. I was reading that taking aspirin is not good when taking this drug. I had chest pain yesterday and today so I took an 81mg aspirin in the morning. I also take a 81 mg aspirin at night along with propranelol and amiodarione for my IHSS and AFIB. Should I continue to take this drug or would bupropion or lexipro?
Abnormal bleeding or bruising: Trintellix and other serotonergic antidepressant medicines may increase your risk of bleeding or bruising, Especially, if you take the blood thinner Warfarin (Coumadin or Jantoven), a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), or aspirin. And, no you shouldn't be on aspirin.
It isn't strong enough to prevent the high risk of stroke with atrial fibrillation. A much stronger blood thinner is indicated. While there might be increased risk of bleeding. It sure isn't common. stroke with Afib is a lot more common and more serious.Cannot say in your particular case, but generally, this would be something to consider.
Hope I have answered your query.
