Can Amlodipine Besylate, Metformin And Nexium Be Taken Together?

Just started taking 2.5mg amLODIPine BESYLATE on Thursday of this week. Today, I have had a nasty headache since waking up this morning. Took Alleve, but it didn’t help. Wondering if taking my other regular meds along with the amLODIPine. They are: 2x500 mg metFormin; vitamins C,D, & E; OTC Nexium (Kroger brand); Consequent ASU; Meijer brand Eye Health with Omega 3 That is what I take in the morning... Also take 2 more 500mg metFormin tablets and 5mg Simvastatin at bedtime. Could anything there be causing this headache?

Hi,

No, there is no problem with taking these medicines together. They have no interactions and they also are not related to a headache. You can take paracetamol 325 mg for a headache if it is not frequent.

If you have headaches frequently then probably it could be a migraine and require prophylactic treatment also. But for confirmation of a migraine and rule out other causes, you need to consult a physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
