Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
Slow stream could be due to problems with your prostate, urinary bladder
or even dehydration
So the prostate has been ruled out, with the help of an ultrasound
examination, although a DRE (digital rectal examination
) would also help. As your doctor is right not to suggest a cystoscopy
before you are married, it would help if we could check for interstitial cystoscopy with the help of a potassium sensitivity test and a urine culture examination. These are both important investigations.
The final aspect would be to check on dehydration. Instead of looking for signs of dehydration, it is best to just initiate consuming more liquids, with a minimum of 3-4 L per day.
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.
