Burning Lungs, Dry Cough, Chills, Night Sweats, No Fever. Sanded Furniture. Doctor Required?

Hello, I sanded a piece of furniture which had been covered in a coat of primer. Not long after my lungs were lightly burning and a dry cough set in. This is now the second day and lungs still congested feeling and coughing. Last night I had no fever but I did have chills and night sweats. When is it serious enough to go to the doctor? Thank you! Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Due to primer you developed allergy.
Due to allergy there develops congestion ( constriction )in the lungs.
Due to congestion there is dry cough and irritation in the throat.
Due to irritation there develops infection and chills and night sweats.
The best way is , get in some antihistamine with bronchodilator and you will get relief within 2-3 days.
If symptoms still persists consult a physician.
Hope I have answered your query.
If further any question I will be happy to help.
Good luck.
Dr. HET
