Bumps Under Skin, Irritate On Touching, Leave Black Spots With Pore In The Middle. Remedy?
My african american girlfriend has bumps that form under the skin and they would bother her when they were touched. They would eventually leave behind black spots that were tight and had a small pore in the middle of them that dont go away. She is a beautiful woman but they appear on her shoulders, back, around the bottom of her buttocks and sometimes on her cheeks but those are smaller. Please help in any way possible. Thanks.
Hi, Thanks for writing to us. Going by the description, it could be comedonal acne or keratosis pilaris. Comedonal acne is nothing but pimples in lay man's term with increased propensity to have blackheads or whiteheads Keratosis pilaris is usually associated with dry skin. It is red or skin colored bump with central black plug in centre. The diagnosis can only be confirmed by examining the lesions. So a dermatologist's visit is recommended In the interim she may apply tretinoin gel in evening as it works in both of these conditions. Hope that helped. Take care
